Statistics Canada reported that employment fell by 2,200 in March but the unemployment rate rose by 0.3% to 6.1% as more people looked for work due to population growth.

This is an interesting post, especially for someone who doesn't know much about HR and Canadian unemployment statistics. However, it's good to see there are HR professionals across Canada posting these sorts of statistics. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised - with great HR programs across Canada at schools like Centennial College - we are in good hands.
